I must call your attention to a recipe in the latest issue of Women’s Health (the one with Emily Blunt and Matt Damon on the cover), Roasted Garlic Beer Bread. I’m not much of a cook or baker, but this recipe was simple enough for me to make.

It is amazing, especially cut up into hunks and dipped into rosemary and garlic infused olive oil.

Speaking of cooking, I have new cookbooks to add to my library! I have a lot to learn in this department, but it will be a very fun and yummy adventure. 🙂

Thursday we went out to dinner with our pilot (and running) friends. It was nice to get some time to talk about two of our favorite topics and catch up. Afterward I was feeling really wiped from the work week and decided to take a rest day and save the miles for the weekend.

Friday, I got to spend time at the salon getting a hair trim and pedicure. I apologize every time they have to touch my gnarly running feet. My big toes and pinkie toes seem to take most of the beating so a salon level scrub is required now and then. And of course, I had to get some coffee. 😀

Coffee really should be a food group.

Saturday I got in some easy miles in the ‘hood with Rob in the light dusting of snow we got.

Later I busted out 12 miles on the treadmill before dinner. Drew came over and we headed out for sushi. Let’s just say after some good miles, there is no such thing as too much sushi in my book. 🙂 We chilled with Starbucks and watched Prefontaine.

Sunday it was time for a long run, but the weather outside had other plans. We had rain all day and even some hail so I clocked the miles on the treadmill. This was my longest training run yet and also a new weekly mileage high of 87.12 miles. At least the rain can wash out what will hopefully be the last of the snow. I’m so ready for spring!
