My legs seemed to wake up tonight, finally!
First I must back up and say I ran Sunday 12 Miles with Mile 6 goal to be at a 7:15 pace, but it was windy and I over compensated and did it at 6:40. I’ll have to keep that in check next time.
12 Miles (‘Hood, 1:38:42, 8:14 Pace)
Monday was a surprise Rest day. Surprise, in the fact that I ate dinner, watched one tv show and passed out. 🙂 Guess I needed some sleep.
Anywho…that takes to to doing my 6 Miles tonight with 2 @ 10K Pace (6:49).
6 Miles Tempo (‘Treadmill, 1% Incline, 43:39, 7:17 Pace)
2 Sets, 15 Reps, Push Ups
My legs felt like the were awake this time and ready to get to some running. Ready for the next cycle of ass kicking to begin.

Is Chicago up next for you? Glad the legs are feeling better! And, yes, sometimes it is better to just sleep it off.

Chicago (Oct) is the next full. We will do RNR Chicago Half (Aug) and USAF half (Sept).

Glad to hear your legs are feeling so good. I will be running the RNR Chicago Half as well but I can see I am nowhere near your speed! 🙂

Hey Jodi! Did you do RNR Chicago last year? If not, it’s SO much fun! You are going to love it!

No, I didn’t do RNR last year. In fact, some friends and I decided to make this crazy goal of running a 1/2 marathon in every state. And RNR Chicago fit into our schedule. We will be there for the entire weekend. Our entry (because we waited too long) includes tickets to the Uncle Kracker concert on Friday. We are looking forward to it!
