Chicago Marathon Training: Week 11 Day 6

I got a new workout toy! A BOSU!! I had a couple coupons to burn at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

I was specifically wanting this BOSU for awhile to work on my leg strengthening, but I’ve already found out by the DVD that came with it that I’m getting ab and upper body work too! I did the warm up and Workout Sessions 1 and 2 (there are three total on the DVD) and my abs are all tweaked out from just their basic moves. I love this thing! I can’t wait to keep at it and get more workout options with it.

Today I was only able to get in 4 mile easy broken up into two runs. My outside of foot under my ankle is still bothering me. Time to look at orthotic options. I may not get my long run in tomorrow.
